How do delay and follow-up messages work?
Configure Reply Time Delay Message (mm:ss) and Enable Follow Up with Delay Before Follow Up and Follow Up Message on Instagram automations.
Automations can wait before the first DM and optionally send a follow-up if the person does not reply. Exact labels: Reply Time, Delay Message, Enable Follow Up, Delay Before Follow Up, Follow Up Message.
Reply Time / Delay Message
Under Reply Time, set Delay Message in mm:ss format. CommentLink waits that long after the trigger before sending the main DM.
Enable Follow Up
Turn on Enable Follow Up, choose Delay Before Follow Up (1 hour to 72 hours), and write the Follow Up Message. The follow-up sends if the user does not reply within that delay.
Open the automation
Edit the post (or template) automation on Posts & Reels / Templates.
Set Delay Message
In Reply Time, enter Delay Message as mm:ss (for example `00:30`).
Optional follow-up
Enable Enable Follow Up, pick Delay Before Follow Up, add Follow Up Message, then Save.
