What Instagram account requirements do I need?
CommentLink needs an Instagram Creator or Business account linked to a Facebook Page for OAuth and automations.
CommentLink connects through Meta’s official APIs. Your Instagram account must meet Meta’s Business/Creator requirements before Connect Instagram can succeed.
Requirements
- Instagram account type: Creator or Business (not Personal)
- Instagram linked to a Facebook Page you can manage
- Ability to approve scopes for basic profile, manage comments, and manage messages
Why this matters
Comment-to-DM, public Comment Auto Reply, Stories, and inbox messaging depend on those Meta permissions. A Personal account cannot grant them the same way.
