What happens if someone doesn’t follow?
People who do not follow (or do not tap I'm following ✓) stay awaiting follow and do not receive gated content.
If someone triggers a Follow-Gated DM automation but does not complete follow + confirmation, they do not receive the gated content yet.
What they experience
- They receive the gate / follow request message
- They can follow and tap I'm following ✓ later to retry unlock
- Until verification succeeds, status remains awaiting follow (visible in Follow Gate results)
What you see
On the Follow-Gated report, look for awaiting-follow vs converted outcomes. Gates shown can be higher than unlocks when people abandon the gate.
