Why can’t I select a post or Reel for a template?
Posts already linked to a custom automation or another template are occupied and cannot be selected until you Unlink or Detach.
Only eligible media can be attached. If a post already has an automation, it is occupied and grayed out or missing from the selectable list.
Common reasons
- The post already has a custom automation on Posts & Reels
- The post is attached to a different Automation Template
- Instagram media has not synced yet — refresh Posts & Reels / template media
What to do
- Open the post in Posts & Reels.
- Unlink a custom automation, or Detach it from the other template (Manage Template / Detach).
- Return to your template and attach again.
